The "Hanxi Mazu Eighteen Villages" Pilgrimage, hosted by the Taichung Lecheng Temple, is one of the most prestigious and historic religious traditions in Taichung, spanning over 200 years. Today, May 2rd, the pilgrimage arrived in the Dingtai area of Wufeng. Yuh Chern Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is deeply honored to have hosted the Dingtai Temporary Altar (Hongtan) and to witness the sacred departure ceremony as Mazu continues her blessing tour toward the Kali district.

A Two-Century Tradition of Blessings

Recognized as a significant cultural asset of Taichung, the Hanxi Mazu pilgrimage involves a grand tour across the "Eighteen Villages" of the Greater Taichung area. This annual tradition symbolizes the warding off of misfortune and the bringing of peace and prosperity to the land. As a long-standing member of the Dingtai community, Yuh Chern Manufacturing remains committed to the spirit of gratitude and devotion, setting up the altar to welcome the Goddess Mazu and pray for the well-being of our neighbors and partners.

Departure from Yuh Chern Altar to Kali District

Early this morning, the management and staff of Yuh Chern Manufacturing gathered with sincere hearts to perform the ritual worship. Following the traditional sounding of the horns, Mazu’s palanquin officially departed from the Yuh Chern altar. The procession is now making its way through the villages toward the Kali area, accompanied by a vibrant crowd of devotees, showcasing the profound strength and warmth of Taiwanese local culture.
